Gutter cleaning prices depend far more on your roofline and trees than on the size of your house. Here’s what goes into a quote.
Gutter cleaning is quoted per property. The price mainly depends on how many linear feet of gutter there are, how high and steep the roofline is, how much debris has built up, whether guards are installed, and whether downspouts need more than a routine flow check. Sending a few photos is the quickest way to an accurate quote.
Two houses with the same floor area can have very different gutter cleaning quotes. What matters is the roofline, the trees around it, and what state the gutters are in.
What affects the price
- Length of gutter — a complex roofline with lots of runs, corners and levels has more gutter to clear than a simple rectangle
- Height and roof pitch — second- and third-storey gutters and steep roofs take more setup and care to reach safely
- Debris load — gutters under conifers or below a mossy roof carry more material, and compacted debris takes longer than a light layer of leaves

- Downspouts — a flow check is part of a proper cleaning; a deep clog further down a downspout can be a separate add-on
- Add-ons — gutter baskets, minor repairs, or cleaning the outside faces of the gutters
Why regular cleaning usually costs less per visit

What a proper gutter cleaning should include
- Debris removed from the gutter channels by hand
- Downspouts checked for flow and flushed where appropriate
- Removed material cleaned up from the property
- A final drainage check
When comparing quotes, confirm the downspouts are included and that debris is cleaned up rather than left on the lawn. If your gutters are overflowing in heavy rain, mention it — it helps us check the right things.
